COUNT DRACULA

COUNT DRACULA
SATURDAY 27th MARCH
A CPD WORKSHOP FOR ARTS THERAPISTS AND ARTS IN HEALTH WORKERS
In this workshop we will work with the story of Count Dracula using a variety of art making techniques including video and animation, sound, puppets, shadows, light projections, drawing and installation. Through making work in response to the narrative we will come to a more personal and poetic understanding of the tale beyond the cliches (though there is always room for fangs and bats!)and what we 'think' we know of the story. The emphasis of the workshop will be in experimentation with a variety of art making processes, collaboration and reflection on both what wisdom the story might hold for us in our personal and professional lives and also offer a glimpse of a way of working in a different way in a clinical setting.
The workshop will be led by Tony Gammidge an artist, art therapist and film maker with a number of years experience of leading CPD workshops.
£45 self funded, £100 employer funded, £40 trainee/unemployed.
CPD certificate provided, book early as strictly limited to 15 places. Send deposit of £15 to Tony Gammidge, 22 Compton Avenue, Brighton, BN1 3PN . If employer funded send your deposit which will then be reimbursed when funding comes through.
